8:25 a.m. - The Intangible ItJack Stahlmann, Writer & Corporate Speaker, Don’t Flinch, LLC | St. Paul, MN | Jack’s presentation, The Intangible It, examines the "it" quality movie stars possess that you can't quite put your finger on… or can you? By sharing humorous and humbling tales of his own Tinseltown adventures, Jack breaks down the "it" factor that makes certain actors’ superstars and shares how you can use those lessons to become a star in your profession. Along this journey, you’ll learn about The Gift and how to channel your inner-Clooney to make everyone you encounter feel like the most important person in the room. We’ll examine The Shift by exploring the secret sauce that has given Tom Hanks such career longevity in an ever-changing industry. And with The Connect we will dive into ways you can be more memorable to anyone you meet – and it might be as simple as wearing a Dolly Parton tee shirt. For real. You could call this presentation the spoonful of sugar with the medicine because it delivers the fun and humor you want with the applicable takeaways that you just might need.

9:15 a.m. - Lessons on How to Find and Work with Your Dynamic DuoFormer South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard & Former South Dakota Lt. Governor Matt Michels When you think of dynamic duos, who do you think of? Batman and Robin, Lucy and Ethel, Woody and Buzz Lightyear are just a few iconic duos who come to mind. During their 8-year administration, former South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard and former Lt. Governor Matt Michels saw plenty of ups and downs. When Daugaard and Michels took office in 2011, the nation, South Dakota included, was rising out of a national recession. As such, one of their campaign pillars if elected to office was to eliminate the structural deficit the state incurred during the recession. On the heels of their first tough legislative session in office, Daugaard and Michels also faced one of the state’s biggest natural disasters in recent history: the Missouri River flood of 2011. But just as floodwaters rose in 2011, South Dakota rose higher. And on a higher note, in 2013, South Dakota was named CNBC’s Top State for Business. See? Leadership comes in waves. But when tough times try to keep you low, it takes a dynamic duo to rise above. Daugaard and Michels will share their perspectives on what it takes to find and hone the perfect partnership that complements your strengths and accelerates your success as emerging leaders in the banking industry. Discover how a well-matched duo can enhance creativity, productivity and overall effectiveness that will help you achieve your goals in community involvement, team empowerment and engaged advocacy.

3:45 p.m. - CONTROLLING CHAOS: Teamship in MoviemakingAndrew Kightlinger, Film Director & Writer | Hollywood, CA | As a film director in Hollywood, my role is to ‘organize chaos’. It is the ultimate exercise in ’teamship’. I am a creative diplomat, tasked with running a small town for a limited time with all new players in a pressure cooker environment. The crux of my role is leadership—to communicate my vision to creative thinkers, all of whom bring their own ideas and passions to the project. To work as a single unit, I have to find the ‘Why’ of it all. That ‘why’ will lead you and your team to the Promised Land.
