WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This school is designed for new to intermediate level internal auditors. It is also an excellent refresher for experienced personnel to keep them abreast of current techniques and procedures.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

CPAs: CPE credit hours.
ABA Professional Certifications: CRCM credits.

DAILY SCHEDULE

Monday, October 2: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. CT
Tuesday, October 3: 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. CT
Wednesday, October 4: 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. CT
Lunch Break: Noon – 1:00 p.m.

Virtual registrants will receive instructions in advance to access the online class and download the materials. Registrants will also have access to the session recordings and materials for 90 days.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

This school teaches the basics as well as more complex aspects of the audit function. This three-day course will discuss the establishment and execution of an effective and efficient internal audit program. Attendees will learn the objectives of internal audit and helpful techniques to reach those objectives. Internal audit should be a value-added function and not just a “check the box” cost center. This course will teach attendees how to create and maintain a value-added internal audit function.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS

Russ Horn, CISA, CISSP, CRISC, President, CoNetrix
Russ Horn found a passion for technology at an early age, programming and playing on a Commodore 64. Horn now has more than 20 years of professional technical and information security experience. Horn is President of CoNetrix, a full-service information technology/security firm focused on serving financial institutions. In addition to performing IT audits and security consulting, he has taught technology courses at the university level and spoken at numerous security conferences.

Wendy Sullivan, CRCM, CIA, Director of Virtual Compliance Officers, Review Alliance Inc.
Wendy Sullivan directs the VCO program for Review Alliance. She and her team assist in developing, implementing and managing compliance management systems for banks. Wendy is a writer for the Compliance Alliance magazine and a part of the education committee for her local Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Chapter. Sullivan has been in banking for more than 15 years and has spent her career working within internal audit and consumer compliance. She has designed and implemented internal audit programs for banks of all sizes.

Ashton Woodling, CRCM, CIA, Virtual Compliance Officer, Review Alliance Inc.
Ashton Woodling has worked in the financial services industry for over 10 years. She has audited banks ranging from $150 million to $25 billion, trained staff auditors and created and maintained audit programs. As a VCO, Woodling helps banks alleviate weaknesses in their compliance programs by identifying deficiencies and providing guidance toward best practices. Woodling is a featured author in Bankers Alliance’s publications.
