1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. The Amazon Prime Effect: Surviving in the New Subscription Society
Dave DeFazio,
StrategyCorps, Brentwood, Tenn.

Subscription services are quickly becoming the dominate strategy of today’s best retailers and have caused a monumental shift in the way people buy. More than 50 percent of all American households now subscribe to Amazon Prime, and more than 200 million people subscribe to this and other retail services such as Netflix, Spotify, Dollar Shave Club, Costco and AAA. Bank marketers have a duty to understand these trends and drive their banks beyond just transactions to connect better with the lifestyles of today’s modern
consumers.

Dave DeFazio is a partner at StrategyCorps and works with bank clients to design, build and implement a variety of checking, marketing and training programs. His extensive financial services experience and continuous research in the field ensures each product and service meets the needs of today’s retail bankers. As partner, he develops consumer sites and mobile apps that deliver value to bank customers as well as analysis tools that allow clients to have a deeper understanding of customer relationships and product profitability.

2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Growth-Driven Design: The New Frontier for Redesigning Your Bank Website
Chris Kappen and Tiffany Ring,
Epicosity, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Every bank marketer has been there—it’s been five years, so it’s time to redesign the website. (And that means wrangling a lot of stakeholders and pumping in a lot of human hours to completely revamp a site you probably won’t touch again for another five years.) So why not make your site a living, breathing, lead-generating and converting machine? Enter growth-driven design—the new frontier in bank website development. “Set it and forget it” is the past—continuous improvement and optimization is the critical (and ROI-proven) now. We’ll show you how to do it right—and make it worth your financial while.

Chris Kappen is the digital director of international agency Epicosity, which specializes in finance marketing. He has built the agency’s digital department from the ground up on the tenets of delivering results through engaging content marketing, exacting paid media strategies and tried-and-true analytics and reporting methods. Tiffany Ring is focused on the end user in all of Epicosity’s web development projects. She knows her stuff – she took part in the birth of the web’s and online gaming’s popularity with the masses and was there for the onset of the industry.

This session will help guide both novices and experts alike in building and managing vendor management programs with such takeaways as considering key elements when developing a vendor management plan; categorizing vendors based on risk; understanding the implications of regulatory mandates; and managing the vendor relationship cycle of contract negotiations, governance and termination.

Michael Berman has been practicing law for more than 15 years. He was general counsel for Goldleaf Financial Solutions, Inc., a publicly-traded information technology company on the NASDAQ. Berman has also worked as general counsel for Tecniflex, Inc. and Imagic Corporation. important challenges and opportunities ahead.
