Compliance/Operations Schools

Bank Compliance School

Bank Compliance School is designed for compliance, audit and management personnel who monitor, manage or assist with compliance laws and regulations. It includes regulations covered in on-site compliance examinations by federal regulatory agencies. 

The School is designed at a basic to intermediate level for individuals who already have knowledge of banking terms and practices. It is recommended that attendees have a minimum of two-years banking experience as well as  compliance responsibilities.

Compliance Update School

Patti Joyner Blenden, CRCM will instruct a fast-paced update on current Compliance topics. This School is open to our week-long Bank Compliance School graduates only.  Email invitations will be sent out in Summer, 2019.

Operations School 

Bankers who are involved in and/or manage operational functions in their bank are encouraged to attend the Operations School.  A minimum of one-year banking experience and completion of Principles of Banking or relevant operations experience is suggested. This School is ideal for: 

  • Operations Officers and Heads of Operations  
  • Branch Managers 
  • Cashiers and Assistant Cashiers 
  • Bookkeeping Supervisors 
  • Teller Supervisors and Head Tellers 

This school is offered in even-numbered years only.

Dakota School of Banking

One of North Dakota's longest-standing banking education traditions, the Dakota School of Banking has graduated hundreds of bankers since its inception in 1974. Many of these graduates are now senior-level executives, serving as president or chief executive officers of banks large and small. 

Through the use of highly-qualified instructors and a challenging curriculum, Dakota School of Banking provides a multi-dimensional educational experience in banking. By completing two one-week summer sessions and intersession projects, students develop a range of skills to enhance current performance and qualify for advancement. 

Employees at nearly every level can benefit from attending the Dakota School of Banking. Many DSB applicants have been identified as future leaders within their banks.
